Alourdes Michel

November 15, 1960 - April 7, 2022

Alourdes Moreau was born on November 15th, 1960 in Port Au Prince, Haiti to Lorepha Moreau and Celine Fevre. She was the 12th born of 14 children. Alourdes finished primary school in Haiti and came to America during the 80s. She then completed high school in Tampa, FL and obtained her associates degree in computer technology from Miami Dade college. After college, Alourdes entered the workforce as a case manager for Miami Department of Child and Family Services. Not long after, she decided to pursue the American dream of being an entrepreneur and owning a business. This journey brought her back to Tampa where she opened an M & L Dollar store. However, she didn’t stop there; Alourdes then seeing the need for a great Caribbean restaurant decided to open one of her own. What started off as one restaurant quickly grew to 5 different restaurants across the span of several years. Alourdes had a knack for business which led her to owning a laundromat, daycare, real estate and consignment store. She later meets the love of her life Joseph Michel. Alourdes and Joseph relocated to Atlanta GA where they started a new life together. As they built their lives together Alourdes never gave up on her dreams. With her husband by her side, together they opened up C’est Si Bon Restaurant and Bakery in Smyrna Georgia. Over the last 11 years the restaurant has thrived and the dream of prosperity was achieved. Alourdes was loved by many, her family, friends, church family and even strangers. She left her mark on everyone she met. Alourdes was a kind person who saw the good in everyone. She was playful and had a great sense of humor. Alourdes was giving, kind and did not know what it meant to be selfish. She loved to cook and sing but most of all, she loved God. It brought joy to her heart to do God’s work. On April 7th, 2022 she lost her battle with cancer and returned home to her heavenly father’s arms. Alourdes leaves behind her loving husband Joseph, her two children James and Melissa, 8 siblings, Fanes Moreau, Eveline Moreau, Valmont Moreau, Marie Maude Moreau, Marie Carmel Desriviere, Guerda Moreau, Gerdy Leroy, Onel Moreau and 9 grandchildren Jameson Moreau, Jamen Moreau, Jaden Moreau, Jaylen Moreau, Nathaniel Moreau, Unique Willis, Marrsaay Willis, Marra Willis and Majesty Willis.
