Andrew "Andy" Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Andy Smith, 86 of Ball Ground, formerly of Marietta, passed away January 11, 2021. He was a graduate of Marietta High School and retired from General Motors after 30 years. Andy was a longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hutson Smith; son, Scott and his wife Katie; three grandchildren, Sutton, Bailey and Haden; nieces and nephews. He was the last of nine brothers and sisters. Due to the rise in COVID cases, there will be an option to live stream the funeral from your home on Friday, January 15th at 2pm. It will be an interactive live stream where family and friends can comment and show their sympathy during the live stream. Johnny Foster officiating at 2pm. There will be a pre-funeral viewing at the church from 1-1:45 PM. Burial will be in Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. On Thursday, January 14th from 5 until 7pm the family will receive close friends and family at Mayes Ward Dobbins, Historic Marietta Chapel. We recognize the seriousness of the COVID outbreak and are taking every precaution necessary. At all gatherings, you must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
