Dan "Danny" Williams Sr.

June 17, 1961 - January 20, 2022

Mr. Daniel (Dan) O. Williams Sr., age 60 of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Rome, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Dan was born June 17, 1961 in Columbus, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Jr. and Pauline Williams, Cecil and Edna Cochran; mother, Carolyn Cochran; brother, Kyle Williams; sister-in-law, Jamie Williams; in-laws, Judie and Ralph Bicknell; his beloved dog Bear. Dan was a 1979 graduate of West Rome High School, a 1984 graduate of the University of Georgia where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and shortly after, received his CPA certification. He began his accounting career in Atlanta and proudly opened his own accounting firm in Marietta in 2012. Dan was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, he loved his camper in the North Georgia mountains, enjoyed reading, hiking, and fishing. Dan was a devoted husband and father, who loved spending time with his family. He was a proud board member of Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta and Camp Gideon. He was a former member of NorthStar Church; a current member of The Church of the Apostles, where he proudly participated in a small group as well as the Colson Fellowship Program. Survivors include his loving wife of 12 years, Sharie Williams; son, Daniel Williams and wife Caylee; daughter, Karly Williams; father, John Williams III; brother, David Williams; In-laws, Ken Moore and wife Verna; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Todd and Melissa Moore, Kendra and Richard Carbuccia, Kendall and Sheree Moore, Kenyon and Ann Moore, Mary and Dirk Cochran; nieces and nephews, Faith Williams, Kaylee Williams, Andrew Moore, Molly Moore, Bella Carbuccia Nick Carbuccia, and Issac Cochran and wife Mary; his beloved dog, Dixie. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at The Church of the Apostles, 3585 Northside Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA 30327.
