Daniel T Johnson

August 10, 1971 - April 22, 2022

JOHNSON, Daniel Theodore, a resident of Dallas, formerly of Powder Springs, born August 10, 1971, passed away on April 22, 2022, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA. Daniel was born and raised in Powder Springs. He attended John McEachern High School and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Powder Springs and Crossroads Sunday School Class. Daniel was an avid NASCAR fan, Georgia Tech fan, and loved the outdoors, especially our State and National Parks. He could tell you interesting facts about almost every state and national park across America. He loved trivia games especially those that included geography. He loved the Braves, Hawks, Falcons and, with some urging, could tolerate the Georgia Bulldogs. He enjoyed played softball for over 20 years with the church and other teams throughout the county, often telling "that he had an awesome slow pitch curveball." Unknown to many of his friends, Daniel was a romantic. His love for the park system became apparent when he had planned a trip to Cedar Breaks NM in Iron County Utah; with the sun just right, on one knee, asked Jennifer to be his wife. With the sound of applause from the other visitors, it was obvious the answer was "YES." On April 22, his love for the outdoors and state parks found Daniel and Jennifer at Magnolia Springs SP, with a beautiful crystal blue spring. They enjoyed a wonderful day of sightseeing and taking in the beauty of God's creation and just being together. They had recently celebrated their 10th anniversary on March 31. Daniel was an employee of Pro Brand International Inc., a designer and manufacturer of radiofrequency antenna systems for the satellite industry since September 2000. Daniel leaves behind his loving wife, Jennifer Dilbeck Johnson, his mother, Claire Kirkland Johnson, brother E. Lee Whitfield III (Teresa), nieces Bethanie Dailey (Scott), Lea' Williams (Zach), Jenna E. Chrisman, and nephew Walker H. Hardman, great nephews and nieces Wyatt and Dean Dailey and Charlie and Huck Williams and many more loved family and friends. His father, Dan T. Johnson, niece Katherine (Kaylee) Whitfield, and his faithful companion Grady, preceded him in death. On Sunday, May 1, 2022, a celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church Powder Springs 4330 North Ave Powder Springs 30127 at 3:31 PM, with Pastor Alan Davis officiating. The family will receive family and friends at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Daniel Theodore Johnson to First Baptist Church Powder Springs (FBCPS.org) or Dirt Road Doggies Rescue (dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org)
