Jack Hubbell, 75, of Villa Rica, GA. passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, in Villa Rica, GA. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2021, between the hours of 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins funeral home- 3940 Macland road, Powder Springs, GA. 30127. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 11th, 2021, at Dallas first United Methodist church at 2pm with food and fellowship to follow in the gymnasium. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: www.stjude.org/ Jack is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Linda Hubbell of Villa Rica, GA.; his children Greg Hubbell (Shana) of Marietta, GA., Brian Hubbell (Jessica) of Raleigh, NC., David Mobley (Michele) of Gardendale, AL., and Misty Waddleton (Ken) of McDonough, GA.; sister Jennifer Hubbell (Thomas) of Chatham, IL.; 9 grandchildren Jacob Hubbell, Will Hubbell, Jackson Hubbell, Brady Hubbell, Brooke Turner, Brittany Mobley, Alyssa Mobley, Shelby Youngblood, and Drew Parrott, 3 great-grandchildren Wesley Parrott, Waylon Parrott, and Taylor Turner; and many aunts, uncles nieces and nephews. Jack is preceded in death by his parents Milford Myron and Jane Stanton Hubbell and Mary Smiley Hubbell. After graduating from the Department of Defense Dependent School, David Glasgow Farragut High School, Naval Station Rota, Spain in 1964. Jack continued his education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he played football. Then he joined the United States Navy. He was honored to have been sworn in by his Father. When Jack wasn’t coaching a sport, He enjoyed playing softball and golf. Jack also had a passion for fishing, traveling and watching the Braves.
