Jennings Claude Patterson III Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jennings Claude Patterson III passed away May 19th, 2021 with family by his side. Jennings was born October 11th, 1942 in the old Marietta hospital to the late Jennings Claude Patterson, Jr. and Janet Stanford Patterson. He was the grandson of the late Jennings Claude Patterson, Sr. and Monterey Caldwell Patterson. He is survived by his sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, LaJohn Ivey Patterson. Also surviving are daughter, Drena Carter and husband Allen, grandson Sam Carter and granddaughter Shae Carter, son Britt Patterson and wife Kimberly, son Darren Patterson and wife Michelle and great granddaughter Ellie Mae and grandson, Kade Patterson. He is also survived by his “brother”, Michael H. Martin and wife Pam. Also surviving are nephews and nieces as well as numerous cousins and a special great aunt, Laura Patterson Barfield as well as two lifelong friends, Buddy Black and Billy Campbell. Jennings was a graduate of Marietta High School and University of Georgia. He was an avid UGA baseball and football fan. A service will be held May 22nd at Maple Avenue United Methodist Church; visitation 10:00 – 11:00, funeral at 11:00. The service will be live-streamed: https://www.mapleavenuechurch.org/patterson.
