Leslie Kathryn Brown Marvel passed away on March 13, 2022 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. Kathy was born July 10, 1966 in Atlanta, GA. Her adolescence years were spent in Birmingham, AL where she was a cheerleader and played little league softball; in New Orleans, LA she enjoyed dance, piano and was in the gifted student program; and in Conyers, GA she graduated from Heritage High School and was very active in all school activities including track, swim team, tennis and softball. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and was an avid Bull Dawgs fan. She started her career at Ford Motor Credit and moved on to become a very successful Mortgage Broker. She was generous to those in need, never met a stranger and had an infectious laugh that will be missed by everyone who knew her. Kathy is survived by her mother Annette McDonald Scholze and her husband Jim Scholze of St Simons Island, GA; father Stephen T Brown and his wife Eloise Melillo of Wayne, NJ; brother Kevin Stephen Brown of Marietta GA; sister Nicole Scholze Long and her husband Robbie Long of Peachtree City, GA; sister Julie Scholze van der Poel and her husband Coenraad van der Poel of Philadelphia, PA; nieces, nephews and cousins and her two beloved dogs Xena and Alex. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
