Mary Ruth Boatright Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

BOATRIGHT, Mary Ruth (Rhinehart), age 89, of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2022. Mary Ruth was born in Welchland, TN to Shelby and Esther Rhinehart. She adored her older brothers and younger sister. In 1951, Mary graduated from Van Buren County High School in Spencer, TN. She was the valedictorian of her class. Later that year, she met the love of her life, Dan Boatright. They were married on September 29, 1951 while he was serving in the Army. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Boatright Gilley and husband John; granddaughter, Stacie Holliman and husband Chris; great grandsons, Hunter Holliman and Ridge Holliman; sister, Jeanette Garner and husband Bill; sisters-in-law Joyce Boatright and Gladys Boatright; niece, Rebecca Freeman, nephews, Howard Rhinehart, Charles Rhinehart, Barney Rhinehart, Daniel Garner and Timmy Boatright and numerous other nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her three brothers Porter Rhinehart (Myrtle), Ammon Rhinehart (Daisy), and Shelby Aaron Rhinehart (Margret), her nephew Shelby Porter “Archie” Rhinehart, and niece Laura Annita “Ann” Rhinehart. Mary Ruth will be remembered as an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an incredible cook and loved to feed everyone. She excelled as a phenomenal hostess for all of the family holiday celebrations. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank her caregivers that became a part of her family; Carol Dorris and Rosemarie Hailey. We would also like to thank Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for the excellent care their staff provided to Mary for almost five months as an outpatient and as an inpatient at the Jane and Bill Warner Center for Caring Hospice in Amelia Island Florida. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 3:30pm in the chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. The service will also be live streamed at this time. A visitation will be held immediately following the service until 7:00pm. She will be buried with her husband at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11:00am.
