Ruby Langston Eller

Ruby Grace Langston Eller, 91, passed away on December 12, 2020, in Marietta, Georgia. She was born in Trion, Georgia on April 15, 1929, to the late J.C. and Bessie Langston, the fourth of their sixteen children. Ruby loved to share stories of growing up in Trion, playing basketball, cheerleading, and graduating from Trion High. She married James Russell Eller in 1947. They moved to Marietta in 1948 where they raised their three children. Ruby worked for Sears as the Marietta store was opening, later with Collier Office Equipment in Mableton, and several other businesses as a bookkeeper. She retired from Lockheed Martin where she worked in the payroll department. She was a member of Roselane Baptist Church. Always one to stay busy, Ruby enjoyed working outside in her yard, sewing, reading, working puzzles and eating out with friends. She was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves. Her family was important to her and she looked forward to the Langston Family Reunion each year. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years James Russell Eller; daughter Linda Sue Eller Brown; sisters Ruth Langston, Jennie Rebecca Langston, Joyce Mitchell, Sibyl Shields; brother Ralph Langston, Jim Langston, Ronnie Langston, Andy Langston, David Langston, Steve Langston, Larry Langston, Charles Langston and George Langston. Ruby is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jane and Terry Bartlett; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Rea Eller; grandchildren Meagan Eskew, McKenzie Eller, Rebecca Bartlett, and Emma Bartlett; great grandchildren Elijah Eskew and Owen Eskew. She is also survived by sister Nell Thomas and brother Joe Langston and many nieces and nephews. A private burial was 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 16th at West Hill Cemetery in Trion, GA . Friends and family will be invited to celebrate the life of this wonderful woman in the future when it is once again safe to gather together.
