Verlyn S. Parks passed away on May 8, 2022. A visitation will be held at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street Marietta, Ga. Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 12 to 1 pm, with a graveside service to follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park at 1:30 pm. Verlyn was preceded by her husband of 50 years, Worth G. (Sonny) Parks, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Steve Parks (Edie) of Dallas Tx, David Parks (Glenda) of Marietta, Ga. Grandsons, Preston Parks (Brian), Decatur, Ga., and Justin Parks, Dallas Tx. Verlyn was a lifelong member of the Marietta First Baptist Church where she enjoyed her friends in the church family and singing in the choir. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Agape Hospice Care Foundation, 1395 S. Marietta Pkwy, Bldg. 750, Marietta, Ga. 30067-4440.
