Wendy Steffey Fitchjarrell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wendy Steffey Fitchjarrell, 51, of Marietta, GA passed away on June 6, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. Wendy is survived by her loving husband, John Fitchjarrell; daughter, Emily Eaton and husband, Cory; grandchildren, Tinleigh and Brantley Eaton; mother, Mary and stepfather, Jim Jenkins; father, Dennis and stepmother, June Steffey; brother, Dennis and wife, Teresa Steffey; niece and nephews, Jessica Steffey, Noah Steffey and Jayden Steffey. She is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Wendy was born in Marietta, GA and graduated from Marietta Highschool in 1988. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1992. She worked her way up in the real estate business to serve as the Chief Accounting Officer where she was a leader and mentor to those she worked with. The impression on her Team over the last 30 years will not be easily forgotten. Above all she was an incredible, wife, mother, daughter, and especially Grammy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Emily, Cory and his family are First Responders, Wendy would be honored for you to donate in her name to help others or feel free to donate to Wendy’s grandchildren’s college fund.
