September 29, 1946 - March 5, 2022
William (Bill) Ernest Clausen from Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Saturday March 5, 2022 at the age of 75. Bill was born in 1946 in Manhattan, New York. Bill bravely served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He then worked for Trak Microwave and Sperry Microwave as a design engineer. For the majority of his long career, he worked at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies as an applications engineer. In the later part of his career, Bill worked as a consultant with Eagleware and formed his own LLC called Prowave. He had a wonderful laugh, a generous heart, and a gracious soul. He was strong and bold. He was as brilliant as he was silly, going from scientific articles and masterful woodworking in his shop to funny gadgets and old movies. He had a great capacity for all types of knowledge. He will be remembered for many amazing qualities, including his very telling facial expressions. He is survived by his wife Claire, son Bill, wife Maya and their children Alexander, Ben, and Sarah as well as daughter Julie, husband Barry and their twins Lola and Vivian. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins funeral home at 180 Church Street in Marietta, GA. Burial will be private at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Wounded Warriors Project, as this group was quite meaningful to him.
