Jack Robert Wyatt

Jack Robert Wyatt, 74, of Marietta, passed away on July 4, 2024. A service will be held at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta location. This will be followed by a Military burial service at The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 3:00 PM. Guests are asked to meet at the Stone Pavilion by 2:45 PM. Jack is survived by his wife of twelve years, Pam Wyatt, her daughter, Mandy Root (and her family), and his sister, Carole Love. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Dottie Wyatt, his brother, Butch, sisters Joanne and Dotti, and his parents, Helen and Alexander M. Wyatt Jr. Jack was born in Chester, Pennsylvania on February 15, 1950. He attended Chester High School, and graduated in 1968. After, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1969, serving active duty for two years before joining the reserves from July 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1975. Following his service, Jack enrolled at Widener University, studying criminal justice until he was hired by the Chester Police Department, at which he served for many years. After his departure from the Police Department, Jack enjoyed a long career with Waltco Lift Corp., followed by recent employment at Merlin Solar Corp. Throughout his 74 years, Jack diligently served both his country and community, garnering the love and respect of all who had the good fortune of being part of his life. Alongside his unquestioned dedication to work, Jack viewed his job as “working for vacation,” feeding his fiercely adventurous spirit by becoming an avid world traveler. Among his various destinations, Hawaii held an extra special place in his heart. As a man of absolute integrity, Jack was universally described as loyal; someone all could depend upon. His wise and insightful nature made Jack a relied upon mentor, inspiring his coworkers, friends, and family. With witty humor, an infectious laugh, and a contagious zest for living, Jack was a true light in this world he tirelessly served. After devoted care of his late wife Dotti, who battled breast cancer, and in recognition of his unselfish spirit, the family would like to request donations to Breast Cancer Research Foundation in his name at: give.bcrf.org
