Leslie Roy Crawford

Leslie Roy Crawford, age 67, of Cartersville, Georgia, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 1, 2024. In the last days of her battle with cancer, Leslie remained selfless, hopeful, and at peace; always glorifying Christ. Leslie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 4, 1956, to David and Katherine Crawford. Leslie is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Cole) Kirkpatrick, two granddaughters, Leah and Hannah, and her sister, Lindsay (David) Faulkner. Leslie is also survived by her two stepdaughters, Sharon (Jason) Mulkey and Angela (Andrew) Isley, and their children. She also leaves behind many cherished relatives and friends. Leslie was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her life reflected Christ’s love so beautifully by the way she loved and cared for people and animals. Leslie was a loving mother and grandmother, and she adored her granddaughters, who lovingly referred to her as Maga. She also had a soft spot in her heart for all animals and pets. She was known as an animal lover and would welcome into her home rescue animals. In the last several years of her life, Leslie cared for community cats and was an advocate for the need for Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) in Bartow County. Leslie was a member of Atco Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia, where she was able to grow in her faith and fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She enjoyed serving others in need, especially those who could never return the service. Leslie was a talented artist with a creative spirit that welcomed everyone. She spent most of her career as an award winning Senior Graphic Designer at The Weather Channel. Upon retiring, she continued her career in freelance artistic design. She willingly gave of her God- given talent and abilities to mentor other budding artists and interns. Her home was always a warm and inviting haven that reflected her free-spirited personality and artistic eye. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia. Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Justin Holcomb immediately following at 3:00 pm.
