Nancy Lynn Walker

Nancy Lynn Walker, 81, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024. She was a steel estimator for Stein Steel Company in Atlanta, GA for 39 years. She was married to Glenn Walker for 32 years. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her daughter Angela and her granddaughters Kayla and Brianna. “Memaw” loved mountain dew, sweet treats, soap operas, and going to “work” at her daughters house daily. She retired from Stein Steel to help raise both her granddaughters. She was the school bus driver, the maid, the chef, the school tutor, and wore many other hats. If you knew her granddaughters you surely knew their “Memaw”. She was involved in everything her girls did. Nancy is survived by her husband Glenn Walker, only daughter Angela Ashley Grizzard (Bill Grizzard), grandchildren Kayla Beth Jenkins (Trevor Jenkins), Brianna Lynn Weathington (Kyle Wright), Kade Grizzard (Kelin Price), and Kyle Grizzard (Chyna Schnall), sister Judy White (Loudon, TN), brother Mike Black and Dolly Black (Knoxville, TN), brother James “Jim” Black (Maynardville, TN), brother John “Jack” Black and Jerry Black (Knoxville, TN), brother-in-law Riley Reynolds (Loudon, TN) as well as many nieces and nephews (Knoxville, TN). She was predeceased in death by her parents Raymond and Elma Black (Knoxville, TN), sister Helen Clowers and brother-in-law James “Red” Clowers (Knoxville, TN), brother Raymond Black and sister-in-law Shirley Black (Knoxville, TN), brother-in-law Charles “Jam-Up” White (Loudon, TN), sister Susie Black Reynolds (Loudon, TN), nephew Randy Clowers (Knoxville, TN), sister-in-law Kathrine Black (Maynardville, TN), mother-in-law Joyce Walker (Marietta, GA), father-in-law Donald Eugene Walker (Marietta, GA), brother-in-law James Allen Walker (Marietta, GA). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at Mayes Ward Dobbins Macland Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM. Service immediately following. Graveside burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, GA following the service. In lieu of flowers, donate to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Nancy Lynn Walker.
