Carol Bratton Tobler

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn (Carol) Bratton Tobler, who left us on December 9th, 2024, at the age of 84. Carol was a beloved wife, sister, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Carol’s ability to connect with others, her lively spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family are her lasting legacies. While she leaves behind a void that can never be filled, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those that knew her. Carol was born in Missouri and was preceded in death by her father Buck, mother Eva Nell, sister Vonnie, and brother Jerry. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Vic, her sister Pam Huck (Steve), and her children and grandchildren. Carol was a dedicated and loving wife to Vic, with whom she shared many cherished memories and unforgettable experiences. Vic and Carole owned and operated the Dairy Queen restaurant in Powder Springs, GA for many years. Together, they built a beautiful life, family and legacy. She was a proud mom to her son, Jeff Taylor (Carolyn), and daughters, Lynn Travis and Shelby Anderson (Darren). “Nana” was also a dedicated grandmother to McKenzie, Alex, Jessica, Nala, Drake, Darby, Camille, and Jody, and a doting great-grandmother to TJ, Cash, and Kyson. Her grandkids brought her so much joy, and she loved spending time with them, offering them advice, support, and plenty of fun. Carol was the life of the party—spunky, vivacious, and always ready to bring laughter to any room. With her unique humor, friendly smile and brilliant blue eyes, Carol could make an already beautiful day brighter. Her warmth and sense of humor made her a cherished companion to those around her. Whether telling stories or sharing a joke, Carol knew how to make a moment feel special. And let's not forget her zest for excellence. Whether it was tennis, golf or artistic endeavors, she had an uncanny ability to succeed. She could pick up a racket, club, or paintbrush and make it look effortless. But true to her nature, once she had mastered a skill, she quickly moved on to the next challenge, seeking new ways to keep herself entertained. While we may have lost Carol in body, her spirit is very much alive in the vibrant laughter, the stories, and creativity she left behind. She taught us that life is too short not to be colorful, humorous, and full of joy. Please honor her by sharing your favorite memories, telling your best “Carol” moment, and maybe even busting a move on the dance floor.. Here's to you, Carol, may your humor and creativity continue to inspire us, and may we always remember to find the joy in every moment, just as you did. Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Friday December 13th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. Carol's family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the funeral home.
