Emily Jeannine Frapart Row, (76) born November 4, 1935, in Chattanooga TN to Edwin L. and Ina N. Frapart. She died February 17, 2012 in Marietta surrounded by loved ones after a massive cerebral hemorrhage. Survivors include husband of over 56 years John Thomas Row Jr. (Tom), Sons Bradford Lanier of Powder Springs, Mark Evans of Canton, and John Thomas III of Marietta; daughters Jeannine Totzke of Bridgman MI and Stephanie Robertson of Powder Springs, sister Stephanie Turner of Carrollton; eleven grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews. A cradle Episcopalian she worshiped at Church of the Incarnation in Atlanta and Holy Cross Church in Decatur. Later as a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta, she was active in beautifying the church. Jeannine trained and organized the St. James Flower Arrangers who decorate the church during High Feast days. She served as President of the Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Atlanta. Jeannine was educated at Westminster and attended Agnes Scott College. She raised five children and was active in garden clubs. As a youngster, Jeannine accompanied her Mother to many flower shows and her avid interest in garden clubbing was a natural outgrowth of this experience. In the mid-sixties she joined the Churchill Downs Garden Club which further stimulated her interest and she began serving as Chairman of various committees for the DeKalb Federation of Garden Clubs. Through her continuing education and experiences she earned the title of Master Flower Show Judge. She was also active in Landscape Design as a consultant, was President of North Ga. Council of Flower Show Judges and President of The Designers Club. She was Chairman of several flower shows including the 1990 National Garden Club award winning Ga. State Flower Show. From 1999-2001, she served as the President of The Garden Club of Georgia. During her administration, she created and established a new Youth ”hands-on” traveling program for 11-12 year olds known as “From the Mountains to the Sea”. This program was launched with the help of the Dept. of Natural Resources. For this program, the GCGA received a National Council of State Garden Clubs prestigious Award of Excellence. She served on numerous state and regional garden club boards in an advisory capacity and was also a lifetime member of these organizations. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 25th. Visitation at 1:00 pm prior to service and a reception following at St. James Episcopal Church, 161 Church Street, Marietta Ga 30060. Fr. Roger Allen officiating assisted by Rev.
