Judith Ann Seidell

Judith Ann Seidell was born in Springfield, Ohio on Saturday, January 13, 1951. Harry S. Truman was President, and the Korean War was raging between North and South Korea. The popular song at this time was The Tennessee Waltz by Patti Page. She passed on the morning of Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Marietta, Georgia. Judi – as she was called all her life – was third in line in what would become a family with six children. Her father was a civilian employee at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. When she was a couple of years older the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska for another government job. After a few years there, her father accepted a position outside of the government working for Glenn L. Martin Company in Baltimore, Maryland. The family lived in Baltimore for a couple of years and then due to an employment transfer within Glenn L. Martin, they relocated to Orlando, Florida. Orlando became home for Judi’s family. She finished out her elementary and high school education there. Upon graduation from high school, Judi worked in Retail and in Food Service. She eventually worked at entertainment venues in Atlanta and Houston. She enjoyed these positions and valued the friendships she made along the way. At the end of her working years, she worked at Northside Hospital in Cumming, Georgia in their Culinary Department. Judi leaves behind her sisters, Nancy Seidell Schwoerer of Charlotte, NC; Janet Seidell Goldman (Steve), New Smyrna Beach, FL; Mary Seidell Helmer of Mauldin, SC; a brother, Tom Seidell of Brooksville, FL; and her Sister-In-Law, Gail Seidell (Fred) of Marietta, GA. She leaves her nieces and nephews: Eric Schwoerer (Nikki) of Charlotte, NC; Nicholas Seidell of Marietta, GA; Stefanie Venable (Jason) of Marietta, GA; Janice Overbeck (Gunar) of Marietta, GA; Todd Helmer of Greenville, SC; Rachel Dettmering (Damon) of Lake Mary, FL; and Matt Helmer (Lauren) of Greenville, SC. She leaves several great nieces and nephews. These children were a source of joy for Judi in her later years. She did not have children of her own, so the nephews and nieces and their children filled that gap for her. In recapping, Judi lived a full life and had a lot of fun over the years! She is missed very much and may she sleep in peace and without pain, forever and ever, Amen.
