Judy Lee Whitlow

Judith Lee Whitlow (Judy), 84, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia at Crawford Long Hospital on September 15, 1939 to Clifford Andrew Lee and Gladys Beatrice Conley. Judy is survived by her two daughters and one daughter-in-law. Vicki Washington and her husband Jim of Destin, Florida; Jenni Morton and her husband Tony of Dallas, Georgia; as well as Glynda Whitlow of Hiram, Georgia. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Emily Elmore (Rives), Trey Whitlow (Tiffany), Ryan Whitlow, Kristine Matthews (Chris), Brittany Pruitt (JT), Wes Morton (Ariana), and Alex Morton. In addition, Judy is survived by seven great-grandchildren, Lexton, Logan, Ansley, Cambry, Owen, Will, and Callan. Her brother Clifford (Roddy) Lee (June) of Columbus, GA also survives her in life. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Chandler Whitlow, Sr. (Bill) and her son, William Chandler Whitlow, Jr. (Chan). Further, Robert (Bobby) Lee (brother) and Sandra Lee Clark (sister) preceded her in death. Judy lived a full life overflowing with love and memories with friends and family. After graduating from Russell High School in East Point, Ga, she attended West Georgia College where she met her husband, Bill Whitlow. They were married for 44 years before he preceded her in death over 20 years ago. Judy was a homemaker at the beginning of her life with her husband. But when she started work, her career was as a financial lender with several different lending companies. Judy, along with her husband, were very active in the East Point, Georgia community throughout their three children’s young life where they were leaders and coaches for the sport teams for all three of them. Judy was one of the main advocates for girl’s athletics at the time and led the way for equal opportunities for girls in sports. Judy Whitlow left a lasting impression with many in the East Point, Georgia community. After retirement, one of Judy’s favorite pastimes was to take trips to casinos with friends. Judy had a true love of reading and spending as much time as possible with family. She treasured each family member and the time she was able to spend with them. In her down time, Judy loved to watch old western movies. Everyone loved her spunk for life and her absolute love for family. Judy’s favorite time of year was the holiday season, and she will wholly be missed as we enter this season. A Memorial service with be held at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, located at 180 Church Street, Marietta, Georgia, 30060 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The visitation for family and friends is at 10:00 AM. Flowers are appreciated.
