Juliet J. Gill

Juliet Gill, 77 passed from this life on 15 October 2017. She was born on 12 July 1940 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Migrating to the United States as a young adult in the 1960’s, she settled first in the state of New Jersey and later moved to Florida. In NJ she pursued her studies in business and worked in both the Insurance and banking industries. In 1989 she moved to Florida and again worked in the banking industry as a loan officer while also pursuing her studies in the field of nursing. She was a devoted Catholic and believed in the teachings of her faith. Julie had a joyous spirit, a bubbly smile, a great sense of humor, and enjoyed sharing her Caribbean culture with friends and family. She gave birth to two babies that died before she had the chance to bring them home from the hospital. She was also a mother figure to her nephews, nieces, and her dog she called "Trini". Julie was courageous and a pillar of strength to those that needed her shoulder to lean on. During her final years she was blessed to have the support of her dear friends, Angela and Taylor Hooks. She also had the great support of the assisted living staff at Delmar Gardens of Smyrna, GA. We love and will miss her dearly. She was daughter to her loving deceased parents Phillipa and Ariah Gill of Trinidad and Tobago. The sixth of seven children; Marie Eversley, Joseph Gill (deceased), John Gill, Pearl Gill-Bridgwater, Alcina Cuffy-Camacho and Anthony Gill (deceased). In-laws of Aunty Julie: Olive Gill (deceased) Monica Gill and Claire Gill. Nieces and Nephews of Julie: Marina Cullingsworth, Marlene Eversley, Hollis Michael Eversley, Patricia Eversley, Jerome Eversley (deceased), Warren Eversley, Marcia Eversley-Rias, Matthew Eversley; John Gill Jr., Lisa Gill-Chase, Lois Gill-Shearwood, Lyris Ann Piper, Richard Gill, Lystra Gill-Browne; Petra Barbezat, Judy Bridgwater-Francois, Robert Bridgwater; Marion Cuffy, Margaret Cuffy (deceased), Laurian G. Cuffy, Jennifer Cuffy, Valarie Williford, Cynthia Cuffy, Margaret A. Cuffy, Veronica Cooper, Rosanna Cuffy (deceased), Carmella Camacho; Ricardo Gill, Natalie Gill, Roger Gill, Nicole Gill. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel.
