Karin Monaghan

Karin Monaghan, 71, of Marietta passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Karin was a devoted wife of 53 years, traveled the Country with her husband Tim, during his career in the Air Force. She raised one child, daughter Kelly, and was blessed with three grandchildren, and two great grand sons. Karin’s life began in Germany, where she later met her husband Tim. She is a graduate of Bitburg American High School and remained in touch with many of her friends through her membership in the Bitburg American High School Alumni Association. She spent her 30 year career as a Medical Practice Administrator with practices associated and near the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital system, retiring in 2006. Her most joyous times were spent with her close-knit family, and traveling to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Germany, Texas, Santa Fe, Memphis (to catch a glimpse of Elvis), and the beaches of Florida. Her hobbies included enjoying her backyard swimming pool, whether alone or surrounded by family, crocheting, antiquing, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Karin met each day with a smile and kind word for others. She was devoted, dedicated, and spent every moment of her life making others happy. She will be deeply missed on this Earth, but we know her smile and love will be in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Timothy Monaghan; daughter, Kelly Seaman and her husband George of Marietta, Georgia; sister Joyce Branch and her husband Michael of Grapevine, Texas, grandchildren Carley Geren and her husband Lucas, Tyler and Kalie Seaman of Marietta, Georgia; great grandchildren Finn and Hayes Geren of Marietta, Georgia; nieces Stephanie Melton and her husband David, Jennifer Crawford and her husband Russell of Grapevine Texas.
