Matthew Charles Novak

Matthew Charles Novak, 27, born September 27, 1985, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully, and quickly from a heart attack on February 27, 2013 at his home in Acworth, Georgia. He was born on the 27th, died on the 27th, at the young age of 27. He will be missed so very much. We love you Matty Ice. Matthew was part of the first class to complete Ford Elementary School from Kindergarten to 6th grade. He graduated with honors from Harrison High School, class of 2004. Later, Matthew attended Kennesaw State University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the country’s first Professional Sales Degree Programs and graduated with honors consisting of the Magna Cum Laude, National Honor Society, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and the President’s List. Matthew had musical and artistic talents and interests and made many videos and You-Tube postings, drawings and original songs. Matthew is survived by his mother, Cyd Sheri Novak, His father, Charles Edward Novak, and older brother, Andrew Harrison Novak. He is also survived by his 2 grandmothers, Helene Atlas and Marie Novak Hogan, and his great grandmother, Faye Allen, as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, and very close cousins. Matthew is preceded in death by his 2 grandfathers, Sidney Forrest Atlas and Eddie Lee Novak, and his uncle, Michael David Atlas. A Celebration of Life Brunch on Sunday, March 3, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, will be held at Copeland’s Restaurant, 1142 Barrett Parkway, Kennesaw, GA 30144, followed by an in-home after celebration of Matthew’s life beginning at 2:00 pm at the family home located in Acworth, Georgia. Matthew’s family is devastated by the loss of their precious second born son. Matthew was best friends with his older brother, Andrew, who loved and adored him, and always looked after his little brother. His mother Cyd Sheri, and father Charles Edward, loved Matthew with all their hearts and feel like a part of them has been ripped out. They were always very proud of Matthew and trust that he is in God’s everlasting hands and in the care of his previously departed relatives. Matthew will be terribly missed and lives forever in the hearts of all his many friends and family. His personality and sense of humor allowed him to be instant friends with everyone he met, and he quickly achieved their love and respect. Everyone who has ever met Matthew would instantly like him. He was honest, sincere, and kind. His friends never had anything bad to say about him. His family welcomes any memories or stories of your personal time with Matthew that you would like to share with them and the group of celebrants of his life.
