Michael "Mickey" Hufstetler

Michael “Mickey” Hufstetler, age 63, 334 Seminole Drive Marietta Georgia passed away suddenly on June 28th, 2016 from a heart attack and has gone to be with our Lord. Mickey Hufstetler spent his entire life devoting his time and energy to helping others. He was employed as a Cobb County Police officer from 1973 to 1978 positively impacting each individual he came in contact with. He started working for IBM in 1978 and was a current employee at the time of his passing. Mickey was an active member of Piedmont Church serving on the Hospitality team with his beloved wife Vicki Hufstetler and also worked in conjunction with Angie Bolton bettering the community around him through various acts of community service. Those who knew Mickey describe him as caring, loving, compassionate, dependable, optimistic, loyal, charming, comical, intelligent and dependable. His favorite pastimes included spending time making memories with his family, watching any type of sport (cheering a little louder for the Braves than any other team), and experiencing any form of life with his two best friends: his mother Frances Howard and his wife Vicki Hufstetler. Mickey leaves behind his beautiful bride Vicki, mother Frances Howard, sister Muriel Garmon, four children and four granddaughters. Son Matt, wife Rainey, granddaughter Calla; daughter Athena and her husband Jermy Byrd; son Joshua, wife Alicia, and granddaughters Evie, Katie and Mayla; and son Thomas. Memorial services honoring Mickey’s memory with be held Saturday, July 2nd at Piedmont Church located at 560 Piedmont Rd, Marietta Ga. Visitation from 12pm-1pm, service at 1pm and a reception following immediately after.
