Roeshawn Drina Uzzell

Roeshawn Drina Uzzell, age 48, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at WellStar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice in Marietta, Georgia, after a year of illness from carbon monoxide poisoning. The wake will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins, 180 Church Street N.E., Marietta, Georgia 30060 PM followed by the repast right after the funeral. Ms. Uzzell was born March 15, 1973 in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, to Rosa Mae and William Dillard Jackson. After attending Hampton University, she had a successful career at Atlantic Southeast Airlines Delta Connection and then ExpressJet Airlines for twenty-five years. Ms. Uzzell moved to Norcross, Georgia in 1996 and was heavily involved in the local high school football community. In her spare time, she enjoyed vintage music albums, movies, reading, cooking, and sewing. She also loved making blankets for disadvantage infants in Africa and she was a member of the Black Flight Attendants of America. Her family paid this tribute to her, Roeshawn was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her heart to her nephews, nieces, and godchildren over the years and she will surely be missed. Roeshawn is survived by her mother Rosa M. Ingram and Father William Dillard Jackson, Brother Javier D. Jackson, Madesta D. Jackson-Schmeling, Otto Field III and a host of stepbrothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. Jackson-Barnes, Isaiah Jackson, Iya Jackson, Malaca Jackson, Bre LeBar, Byon Bell, Keisha Ingram, and Great-nephew Kyro King Tab Preceded in death by Grandmother Rosetta Graham, Grandfather Author Len Perry, Wesley Leo Schmeling Nephew, and Stepfather Odis L.
