Betty Cameron Williams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Cameron Williams, age 90, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home in Marietta, GA with her loving family by her side. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel with Rev. Donna Lucas officiating. The service can be attended via Live Streaming by visiting www.mayeswarddobbins.com. Betty will be interred at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta, GA next to her husband Edwin Williams. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edwin Daniel Williams (1930 – 2008). Betty is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Teresa & Jim Tarpley, Tina & Don Hewett, Belinda Rider-Benton & Keith Benton, and Donna & Kyle Jones; five grandsons, Scott Tarpley & his wife Erin, Daniel Hewett & his wife Anna, Will Tarpley & his wife Grace, Zachary Jones & his wife Kasey, and Andrew Jones; five great grandsons, Mason Tarpley, Hampton Hewett, Chapman Hewett, Brooks Tarpley, and Benjamin Jones; and one great granddaughter, EB Tarpley. She is also survived by one older sister, Joyce Hethcox, and many nieces and nephews and other family members. Betty Jo was born in 1930 to William Elbert Cameron & Mary Charles Cameron of Notasulga, AL. She retired from the state of Georgia after working with developmentally disabled adults; then went on to work in the nursery school at the First United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA until her retirement in 2015. Her legacy is one of faith in God, love of family & friends, and especially a profound love of children and babies. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 between the hours of 12:00 pm and 2:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, GA.
