Frank "Cotton" Vineyard Sr.

June 8, 1941 - March 13, 2022

Frank Vineyard, age 80, of Marietta, Georgia, died on March 13, 2022. He was a loving husband, Pops, PawPaw, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Frank is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Tucker Vineyard; sons, Noey Vineyard, Jr. and Dennis (Blythe) Vineyard; four grandsons, Noey F. (Trey) Vineyard III (Nicole) Vineyard and Kendric (Summer) Vineyard, Trey Jones, Landon Shore; three great grandchildren, Miles Heller, Stella Vineyard, and Bentley Andrews; sisters Marie Floyd and Charlotte (Jerry) Fortenberry and special brother Walter Hugh (Kay) Vinyard; several nieces and nephews; very special families---George, Mandy, Maceigh and Maggie Meaders; Donna Collins, Caleb, Travis, Shelby, Faith and Elise Straight. Frank is preceded in death by his father James Andy Vinyard, Mother Elsie Chapman Vinyard, brother Billy Vinyard, sisters Frances (Nicklos) Pettyjohn and Lucille (Jimmy) Shropshire. Frank was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed by Orkin Exterminating Company for many years. Frank had his own business, Vineyard Exterminating Company for 24 years before retiring. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Lookout Hall, Teloga Community, Trion, GA. Frank was an avid bass fisherman and has numerous trophies displayed in his office. He earned his multi engine rating and loved flying in his earlier years. Frank was a Master Mason of Meyerhardt Lodge No. 314, Kennesaw, GA, for 35 years. They will perform Masonic Last Rites. He loved house boating on the Tennessee River, RVing and traveling all over the U.S. More than anything, he loved his family, especially his GRANDS! Family will receive friends on April 11, from 1 to 2 PM, prior to the Memorial Service at 2 PM, at Mayes-Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, 180 Church Street, NE, Marietta, GA 30060. There will be a private grave site burial with family at Georgia National Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Ministers Frank Ford, Charles Cochran and Rodney Stephens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in honor of Frank to Wellstar Community Hospice Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Avenue, NW, Marietta, GA 30064 or East Ridge Church of Christ, 951 McBrien Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412, or to the charity of your choice.
