Harriet Fay Schannon, 79, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022. Harriet was born in Brookline, MA and spent her childhood and part of her teenage years in Dorchester before moving to California when she was 16 years old. Harriet graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1959. She met the love of her life, Warren, and dated for about a year and they were married in 1963. Harriet and Warren lived in Baldwin Hills and Canoga Park before settling in Chatsworth in 1969 where they raised daughters Robin and Kim. They lived in Chatsworth until they moved to Georgia in 2016 to be closer to their family. Harriet spent her career as a medical transcriber. When she wasn’t working, Harriet enjoyed doing many things, such as traveling, shopping, casino trips, social events with friends, and especially spending time with family. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her unconditional love will be greatly missed. Harriet is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years Warren; daughter Kim Alcala and husband Brian; daughter Robin Heeber; grandchildren Erika and her husband Devin, Kyle, and Vanessa; great grandchildren Aurora, Ethan, and soon to be born Ella; several cousins and numerous dear friends. Harriet is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Esther Abramson, and her brother, Norman. A memorial service is January 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Ner Tamid in Marietta, GA.
