James "Bo" "Jimmy" Dobbs

February 18, 1936 - April 26, 2022

James “Bo” “Jimmy” Dobbs, 86, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. A Graveside Service at Sunrise Memorial Garden Cemetery will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Charlie Dobbs officiating. James is survived by his loving wife, Linda Faye Dobbs of Powder Springs, GA; daughters, Dianna Dobbs-Bartley of Douglasville, GA, Gretchen H. Ballard of Acworth, GA., & De Dobbs Reid & husband Daniel of Lineville, AL; sons, Joey Dobbs of Alabama and Charlie Dobbs & wife Darlene of Taylorsville, GA; sisters, Margie Lamb of San Antonio, TX and Linda Shepard & husband Woody of Dacula, GA; brother, Wade Dobbs & wife Peggy of Acworth, GA; 10 grandson, 10 granddaughters, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. James was preceded in death by his son, Randy Dobbs; daughter, Chris Tucker; granddaughter, Melissa Jenkins; grandson, Zachery Ames. James was born on Tuesday, February 18, 1936, in Marietta, GA to Robert & Lillie Dobbs. He married the love of his life, Linda Teffeteller and they had fifty-three wonderful years together. James was an industrious worker and spent 33 years working at General Motors until he retired, and then worked for 20 years driving truck for Interstate National Truck & Trailor. James had a personal relationship with God and he and Linda worshipped together at Mountain Faith Fellowship for 12 years. James was a true outdoorsman and spent many hours hunting & fishing. He also had a love of racing and enjoyed building race cars in his younger years as well as watching the races on television or attending NASCAR races with his grandsons. James had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
