Kenneth B. Boyd “Kenny”, 88, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel with Rev. Jason Arrowood officiating. Family has asked in lieu of flowers that donation be made in Kenny’s name to a charity close to his heart to Prostate Cancer Foundation at www.pcf.org/ Kenny is survived by his daughters, Debbie Arrowood & husband Alvin of Powder Springs, GA & Susan Boyd of Marietta, GA; sisters, Penny Hendon of Dallas, GA & Pat Adams & husband Jamie of Good Hope, GA; grandsons, Jason Lee Arrowood & wife Kim of Lafayette, GA & Michael Andrew Arrowood & wife Brittney of Dallas, GA; granddaughter, Elizabeth Hendrickson & husband Aaron of Atlanta, GA; 5 great-grandsons & 5 great-granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Curtis Boyd, Jr. and granddaughter, Isabella Faith Arrowood. Kenny was born on Wednesday, July 5, 1933, in Atlanta, GA to Clarence & Ruby Boyd. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. After serving his country he went on to serve his community as a Fire Captain at the Marietta Fire Department for over 20 years. Kenny enjoyed fishing from time to time, but he liked to spend most of his free time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was always ready with a one liner to get everyone laughing. Kenny was a hardworking man and a good provider for his family. He was a kindhearted man and was generous to a fault. His loving presence will be forever missed. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 12:00 Pm to 1:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel.
