Dolores Malone

Dolores Malone (Towns), 70, of Powder Springs, Georgia, made her journey home on August 3, 2024. Dolores Malone was born on October 4, 1953, in Hartford, Connecticut, and joined the Lord on August 3, 2024. Dolores, a well-loved and cherished member of her community, was known for her generosity, infectious laugh, and easy-going demeanor. After graduating from Hartford Public High School in 1971, Dee became a ‘stay-at-home mom’, and later dedicated her professional life to nursing. Dee was deeply passionate about volunteering, especially with Vacation Bible School, which reflected her commitment to her faith, community, and love for little ones. Dolores cherished her Christian faith and studied the Bible in daily devotion. Her love for the sea and cruising allowed her to fulfill her desire to explore with her favorite travel companion, Carl. Dee had a creative spirit which provided her and her loved ones with cherished memories and tokens. Dee was also an avid reader. This hobby she shared with her mom, her sister, and passed on to her grandchildren. Dolores was extremely proud of the independence and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and of being a great-grandmother. She absolutely loved being “Nana”. She is survived by her loving children, Debbie Antoniou-Connor (Eric) and Nehemiah Ron Blake (Kim); grandchildren, Alexia Blake (Shyan), Aysha Blake, Isaiah Blake, Kennedy Connor, Abrea Blake; and great-grandson, Lennox Blake. She also leaves behind her siblings, Alvin Towns (Gerry), Alfred Towns, Patricia Towns, and Yvonne Jordan (Ramell), along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored and loved as her own. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Katie Towns, and her brother, Curtis. Our sweet Dolores, Dee, Ma, Mom, Nana, best friend… will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, gentle smile, strength, and enduring spirit. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Prayerfully, we will all meet again on the other side. A Celebration of Life honoring our beloved Dolores will be held for family members and friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in celebration of her 71st birthday.
