Harvey R. Hillhouse, 88, of Marietta, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Hiram, GA. A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel with Rev. Tommy Reinhardt officiating. He will be interred at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, November 20, 2022, between the hours of 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel. Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Fay Hillhouse of Marietta, GA; sons, Danny Hillhouse & wife Lisa of Marietta, GA and Terry Hillhouse & wife Brenda of Hiram, GA; grandsons, Chad Hillhouse & wife Dana of Rockmart, GA and Matthew Hillhouse of Marietta, GA; granddaughters, Ashley Quick & husband Josh of Hiram, GA, Jennifer Campbell & husband Mark of Hiram, GA, Melissa Fauscett & husband Mike of Acworth, GA, and Mandy Jackson & husband Shain of Hiram, GA; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Harvey Ray Hillhouse was born Friday, October 5, 1934 in Sixes, GA. to Talmadge & Aline Hillhouse. He married the love of his life, Fay Hillhouse on May 30, 1953 and they had 69 wonderful years together. Harvey had a personal relationship with God and he and Faye were members and worshipped at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Harvey also served in his church as a deacon for many years. Harvey had a strong work ethic. He worked in the cabinet shop at Lockheed Martin for 16 years, owned and operated Hillhouse Tractor Co. for 30 years, and after retiring, he continued to work by driving bus for the Cobb County School System for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, working in his vegetable garden, tinkering with small engines, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harvey had a big heart; he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He genuinely cared for others and was generous to a fault. Harvey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His presence will be forever missed.
