Jeffrey Allen Aron

Jeffrey Allen Aron, 64, of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with his loving husband by his side. Jeff was born on October 17, 1961, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, to Q.T. and Joanvee Aron. A 1979 graduate of South Pontotoc High School, he later attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) before making his home in Atlanta, where he worked faithfully for more than 40 years. He began his career with Mori Luggage & Gifts and later dedicated 20 plus years as General Manager with Crew Outfitters, an official partner of Delta Air Lines. Through his work with Crew Outfitters, Jeff formed many strong and lasting relationships within the Delta corporate community. He was admired for his professionalism, unwavering work ethic, and the genuine friendships he built throughout his career. He was a devoted Ole Miss football fan, and when football season began, you could faithfully find him settled into his sofa cheering on the Rebels, later gathering with friends over dinner and drinks to enthusiastically recount every play, every win, and every hope for the season ahead. Above all, Jeff loved his family with his whole heart. He shared a devoted and beautiful life with his beloved husband, Lance Elliott, along with their standard poodle, Dewey. He is survived by his husband, Lance Elliott of Smyrna; his sister, Bonnie Sisco (Bill) of Pontotoc; his niece, Rachel Swanson (Ryan); his nephew, D.J. Fields (Emily); his treasured great-nieces, Leah Fields and Evangeline Swanson; his great-nephews, Jonah Fields and Jericho Swanson; his aunts, Louise McCormick of Bruce, Lois Matkins (Keith) of Pontotoc, and Dot McDonald of Phenix City; many cousins and extended family members whom he dearly loved; and his best friend of 26 years, Brad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Q.T. and Joanvee Aron; his grandparents, H.C. and Callie Smith, and George and Dolly Aron; and several aunts and uncles. He was reunited in Heaven with his beloved Bichon, Pepé, his loyal companion of 18 years. While our hearts are broken and we deeply feel the weight of this loss, we hold tightly to our faith. Though Glioblastoma took Jeff's earthly body, it did not take his spirit. We find comfort in knowing that he is now whole again, restored and healed in the presence of the Lord he loved so deeply. Jeff left us with the gift of having known him. His generous heart, his kindness, and his true servant spirit will stay with us always. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Holly Springs United Methodist Church and Pastor Steve Lyle and to Agape Hospice for the compassionate love, dignity, and gentle care they provided to Jeff in his final days. Their kindness and support brought comfort and peace not only to Jeff but to all who loved him. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 3 PM in the Historic Chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Lyle officiating.
