Jimmie Lee Trulove

Jimmie Lee Brady Trulove, born January 28, 1929, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, William Robert Trulove; her parents, Lonnie and Eula Brady; and her brothers, Richard Brady, Leon Brady, and Johnny Brady, along with her sister Hazel Lawson Greer. She is survived by her son, Anthony Trulove; daughter, Robin Padgett (Danny); grandchildren, Brady Trulove, Jesslyn Trulove, Bethany Ward (Matthew), and Hannah Schroeder (Peter); great-grandchildren, Natalie Rowe, Lorelei Schroeder, Athena and Axel Ward; sister, Linda Prather; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. A native of Cobb County, Mrs. Trulove graduated from McEachern High School. After graduation, she worked for Life of Georgia Insurance in Atlanta before marrying Robert and devoting herself to being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. As her children grew older, she returned to the workforce, holding positions at Hole Proof/McLaurin and Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. She also served on the Board of Equalization for Cobb Tax Assessors and later as a bailiff for Cobb County Superior Court, faithfully working well into her 80s. Mrs. Trulove was a lifelong woman of faith. She was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where she had been active since childhood. Over the years, she taught children’s Sunday School, led Vacation Bible School, worked with the Keenagers, and participated in the senior group at Mt. Calvary. Her service and love for others left an enduring mark on her church and community. Above all, Mrs. Trulove faithfully cared for her family and friends, leaving a legacy of kindness, faith, and strength. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Mayes Ward Historic Marietta Chapel, with burial to follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00am. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support, prayers, and love during this time.
