Toni Long

Antwynette Vyleitia “Toni” Long, lovingly known to many as Mom and Noni, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 20, 2026, on her 66th birthday. Toni was born on February 20, 1960, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Thomas Edward Panter Jr. and Helen Lynette Panter. She grew up in Cobb County, Georgia, Graduated from McEachern High School class of 1978, spent part of her adult life in Ellijay, Georgia, later lived in Palm Coast, Florida, and most recently resided in Acworth, Georgia — a place she proudly called home. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Robert Dale Long Sr.; her three sons, Robert Dale Long Jr. (Jessie Long), Nicholas Justin Long Sr. (Laura Long), and Alexander Thomas Long Sr. (Victoria Long); and her beloved grandchildren: Alyssa Long Marshall (Jerod Marshall), Nicholas Justin Long Jr., Ansley Mae Long, Josephine Antwynette Long, Olivia Michelle Long, and Alexander Thomas Long Jr. and great granddaughters, Magnolia Mae Marshall and Marigold Antwynette Marshall. She is also survived by her parents, Thomas Edward Panter Jr. and Helen Lynette Panter; her brother, Thomas Edward Panter III (Amy Brooks Panter); her niece, Madison Virginia Panter; and her nephew, Christopher Lee Waters. Toni was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Anastasia Letitia Panter Waters. Toni was defined by her motherhood and her grandmotherhood. Her family was her life’s greatest joy and highest calling. She was unwaveringly devoted to her children and grandchildren — present at every event, cheering the loudest, offering endless support, and loving without condition. She was everyone’s biggest fan, her family’s greatest encourager, and a fierce protector of those she loved. She would have given the clothes off her back — and often did — to meet the needs of her family. Her faith in Jesus Christ was unshakable. Toni lived with absolute assurance that Jesus was her Lord and Savior, and she spoke of her faith boldly and joyfully. She often quoted Isaiah 40:31, reminding those around her of the strength found in waiting on the Lord, and she proudly declared that “Longs are winners.” Her love for Jesus, her family, and her country shaped every part of her life. Toni spent many years working in her family’s business (Marietta Crown & Bridge Dental Laboratory). Toni then became a highly successful and well-respected real estate agent, known not only for her professionalism and excellence, but for the genuine care she showed to every person she worked with. Strong, loyal, and outgoing, she had a larger-than-life personality that lit up every room she entered. She has now finished her race and gone home to be with Jesus, whole and at peace. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable ache, her legacy of faith, love, and devotion lives on through the generations she cherished so deeply.
