Here at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, we want to assure you that we are committed to following national, state, and local guidelines regarding the pandemic. We are continuing to encourage safe social distancing and wearing a face covering while in the funeral home.
Our highest priority is the safety of our family's and employees. We ask that if you are not feeling well, feverish, or if you have recently been exposed to someone with COVID-19, to please stay home and watch your loved one's service via Livestream on our website.

Under the
Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the
American Rescue Plan Act of 2021,
FEMA is providing financial assistance for
COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.
To be
eligible for assistance:
- The
death must have occurred in the United States.
- The death certificate must indicate the death was attributed to COVID-19.
- The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen who incurred funeral expenses after January 20, 2020.
- The
applicant must be the one that paid the funeral bill and have a receipt showing
how funds were received.
**Please
note that under this assistance, any source of payment designated specifically
to pay for a funeral in anticipation of a future death
cannot be reimbursed.
Examples of this would be funeral insurance, pre-paid funeral contract,
pre-paid trust, or an irrevocable trust for Medicare**
Funeral
Homes are not eligible to apply on behalf of the family, but we want you to
know we are here to help you with this process
and help provide you with any of
the documents that you may need including copies of receipts.
Applications
began on April 12, 2021 and are only accepted via telephone.
Please call
844-684-6333 Monday – Friday from 9am to 9pm to begin the application process.
A FEMA representative will walk you through the steps. The process should
take roughly 20 minutes.
You will be given an application number at this time
and supporting documentation will need to be sent to FEMA via fax, mail, or
uploaded online.
